Tell the United Arab Emirates not to invest in Sizewell C

UK Ministers are wooing the United Arab Emirates - reportedly the state-owned Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) and its sovereign wealth fund owner, ADQ - to be a partner in Sizewell C.

This is highly controversial given the UAE's position on sensitive issues such as Israel and Palestine, and its support for Saudi Arabia's stance on the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi and other human rights concerns. Government Ministers are "minded" to intervene in attempts by the UAE to buy the Daily Telegraph because of these concerns, but apparently fail to see the contradiction - and damage to "energy security" - to sell a stake in Sizewell C, which is critical UK infrastructure, to the UAE.

Email ENEC - Chair His Excellency Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak and Managing Director Mohamed Al Hammadi - and ADQ, ENEC's owners, Chair H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and tell them why investing in Sizewell C would be a bad idea....
